Cookie Policy

This Policy explains how Donnu A/B uses cookies and similar technologies. It is part of the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored in your browser when you visit a site. They are used to remember preferences, keep sessions, and enable features. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage (localStorage), serve comparable functions.

2. Cookies we use

2.1. Marketing site

• Essential: needed for the basic operation of the pages.
• Preference record: we store your choice in the cookie notice so it is not shown repeatedly.

2.2. Platform dashboard

• Authentication and session: cookies and local storage essential to keep you securely signed in. Without them the dashboard does not work.

2.3. Snippet on customers' sites

When a customer installs the Snippet on its pages, we store, on the customer's own domain (first-party):

• Identification cookie (for example, _dab_uid): a random number (UUID) used to keep the Visitor in the same variation during the experiment and avoid duplicate counting. It contains no direct personal data, has a validity of about 12 months, and is set with SameSite=Lax.
• Local storage: stores the assigned variation and the record of events already sent, for experiment consistency.

These mechanisms do not perform fingerprinting and do not track the Visitor across different sites.

3. What we do not use

We do not use advertising, social media, or third-party tracking cookies for cross-site behavioral marketing.

4. How to manage or refuse

You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Refusing essential cookies may impair the operation of the dashboard or the experiments. Check your browser's help for how to do this.

5. Customer responsibility

The customer that installs the Snippet is the controller of its Visitors' data. It is the customer's responsibility to disclose, in its own cookie and privacy policies, the use of the identification cookie described in item 2.3, and to obtain consent where applicable, in accordance with the Terms of Use and applicable law.

6. Changes and contact
